Listening to him talk with Neil Strauss. The order of importance for him

  • Nutrition
  • Recovery
  • Training

Eating six small meals per day is more important than working out.

  • Get up, eat a meal. Its the first thing you should do. Oatmeal, breads are fine.
  • Spread out your meals, every 3 hours or your body shuts down.
  • Chicken, steak, fish. Prefer it over the protein drinks, but they are ok if needed.
  • If you don't sleep, you don't recover.
  • Cook most of the food during the weekends. Measure it out and package it.
  • Fruits? Love them. Eat them in the morning as their are carbs. Proteins throughout the whole day.
  • Eat right after your workout. Your body is traumatized, give it proteins and carbs.
  • Zone Diet, South Beach, etc, made for diabetics.
  • Cardio only burns, weightlifting both burns and builds.
  • Work smarter not harder.
  • Don't get stressed, releases cortizol.
  • Training: be basic.
  • Low reps build muscle
  • Lift as heavy as you can for 5-12 reps and eat right and you'll get ripped.
