Advice from Barons on XM
In summary, his advice is:
- You need to think big. If you don't, you eliminate a large portion of available money out there
- Try and bring something new to the market
- Do it better, faster, cheaper
- You can try integrating various services together
- Build partnerships and relationships
- Don't conduct research in a vacuum, ask people what they want
- Avoid mature or declining industries
- Ask your customers, "What other services would you like to see from me?"
This talk is all about owning a business rather than owning a job. If you own a business, then you can sell it. If you stop working, it doesn't stop producing income.
